HOT DEBUT: SAY MY NAME Are Here To WaveWay

A New girl group is hitting the scene today with their debut album and title song WaveWay.

I am pretty sure this group is from a company that one of the JYJ boys and I was really intrigued to see what this group would have in store for us to be honest! I didn’t really follow promotional stuff for this group so I know nothing but the name had me interested? But also I hear it said by the boys from SEVENTEEN in my head. Anyhow, I hoped this group might offer us new music that might surprise us so let’s dig into WaveWay.

WaveWay already won me over by having a massive cat in their music video that’s always a plus! WaveWay on the other hand is also a very pleasant song I am not sure how it stays out from the other girl group fanfare of 2024 as it all seems very lowkey but WaveWay is definitely much more on the cute and fresh side than the cool and attitude one and I appreciate that. WaveWay and the SMN (Is that a good abbreviation?) girls offer some promising vocals and a relatively catchy hook which makes me feel hopeful to see more from them. The music video is definitely a lot of fun and I like the concept for these girls! I am not doing too hot today so I am crunching this review out after crying in bed for hours and haven’t had the time to really dig into the mini album but I can say Be a Star is as an album opener already a great choice and 8llowme is also a lot of fun, I can hear a bit of Lovelyz in this group? Maybe I am just delusional oh well. Overall, this is a really solid debut!
