Kiss Of Life Want Us To Get Loud

Kiss Of Life return with their third mini album Lose Yourself and its title song Get Loud.

Kiss of Life are back, baby! I feel like the girls have been taking the world by storm since their debut, and it only really solidified itself during these last two comebacks which have been more than stellar. The group has a really special old-school energy and charm that makes you fall for them without a problem. They’re really standing out amongst other acts on the scene right now with their refreshing pop meets r&b sound, and I’m glad that they truly seem to be enjoying themselves as performers. I have high expectations from this new mini-album and I’m so excited to dig deeper into it. Let’s review Get Loud and see what KIOF decided to bless us with on this sunny Tuesday.

KIOF continue to bring us that good 2000s energy with their tracks and I’m absolutely here for it. Their Midas Touch has been one of my absolute favourites this year and I think it’s such a great thing that they’re really pursuing a recognizable sound because it suits them so much. Get Loud is fun, upbeat, melodic, and catchy from start to finish. It’s both old-school and something new, bringing us a really enjoyable musical experience that I’ve been craving this month. I think KIOF have a very refreshing, powerful energy surrounding them and their music and it’s just impossible not to root for them or to not like their musical output so far. Get Loud has both laid-back and upbeat moments, offering us some groove and attitude along the way, and I think the production has done a great job yet again with this track as all the elements flow smoothly until the very end. I’d love to see how Get Loud ages because I feel like it will be a grower for many, but right now I like what I hear and see. The music video is, once again, fantastic, and really showcases the charm these four girls bring to the scene. It’s kind of insane to think they’re rookies because their presence has been so strong since their debut.

The new mini album is fantastic and offers even more pop enjoyment we all need in our lives. KIOF are really on a mission to bring us musical nostalgia because the b-sides are just bringing me back to some better times. No One But Us is one of the definite stand-outs of the album for me and a song I could totally see myself being obsessed with back in mid 2010s. It’s just so dreamy and catchy, with just enough upbeat moments to really keep you going. The same thing goes for Back To Me which sounds like the perfect concert song – that one track you’d scream your heart out to. I’ve been drawn to the song immediately and I feel like I’m going to absolutely overplay it by the end of the year. For some reason, this song really reminds me of 5SOS Youngblood era – maybe it’s the slight pop-rock sound it has and the potential to be absolutely amazing to hear at a concert. This nostalgic pop sound suits the group so much, it’s truly incredible and I don’t think anyone’s putting out such style on the current k-pop scene. Of course, for those who love r&b KIOF, Chemistry makes sure to provide with exactly that and it’s such a good song. Definitely one of the best mini-albums we’ve got this autumn.

KIOF, let’s continue making great music because you have not missed to date.
