The highly anticipated idol competition show franchise is back with seven talented groups. The seven groups competing for the prize and a chance to join the 2025 KCON Special Lineup are TEMPEST, 8TURN, YOUNITE, ONEUS, THE NEW SIX, CRAVITY, and The CrewOne. In this season, they don’t only compete in team battles but also in individual battles with each team’s ace. The seven K-pop acts compete against each other to prove themselves not only to their fans but to the general public as well. During their journey on Road to Kingdom, they’ll share their own story and show off their talents. Out of seven groups, only five will advance to the finals. TAEMIN of SHINee hosts the show as an MC.

Mnet’s highly anticipated “Road to Kingdom: ACE OF ACE” has dropped a thrilling new teaser ahead of its premiere tomorrow!

“Road to Kingdom: ACE OF ACE” is a new stand-alone season of “Road to Kingdom,” the idol competition show that served as a prequel to “Kingdom: Legendary War” back in 2020. This upcoming season will function as an independent brand, spotlighting rising K-pop boy groups and introducing new benefits for the winning team.

The seven groups competing on the show are ONEUS, CRAVITY, TEMPEST, YOUNITE, THE NEW SIX, 8TURN, and The CrewOne (a project group formed by ATBO and JUST B), and SHINee’s Taemin will host the program as an MC.

With the subtitle “ACE OF ACE,” this season introduces exciting new rules, featuring not only team battles but also individual performances from each team’s standout “ace.”

The latest teaser showcases the seven groups as they dive into their first team battles, setting the stage for an action-packed season opener.

1. The Ace Battle

The seven teams meet each other for the first time. After their introduction, the Evaluation Match is held. In the first round of the Evaluation Match, the ace of each team performs by himself. The ranking of the aces are revealed, and the team with the least voted ace does not get to perform as a group in the second round. Stay tuned to find out which team lost their chance to perform!

2. The VS Mission

The first round of Road to Kingdom finally begins. The mission they’re given is VS Mission, where they must compete with the songs by K-pop boy bands that sold over one million albums last year. For each match, two teams compete against each other, but for the triple match-up, three teams compete with songs by three different K-pop boy bands. Which team will win the hearts of the audience and place first? Stay tuned to find out!

3. The Second Ace Battle

After the triple match, the Team Ranking and Ace Ranking are revealed. The two teams that won first place in the Team Ranking and Ace Ranking have the Ace Battle to decide the final winner. The final winner gets the benefit of deciding on the cue sheet for Round Two. Later, the mission and a new rule for Round Two are revealed.

4. Round Two: Identity Mission

The day of Round Two arrives. As Round Two’s mission is Identity, the seven teams perform with their own songs that can show their identities. Unlike the previous round, there are two aces from each team instead of one. Some aces stand out, while some don’t show their presence. The seven teams perform according to the cue sheet that ONEUS, the previous round’s winner, has set.

5. The First Elimination

Round Two continues. THE NEW SIX, The CrewOne, TEMPEST, and ONEUS show off their identity through their unique performances. After all the performances, the rankings are revealed. The teams in the lowest rankings must face the Ace Battle. After the Ace Battle, the first team to be eliminated from the show is announced.

6. Round Three

The first round of Round Three is held. It’s a battle of the aces, and the two aces from each team are divided into two units, Water and Fire. The aces have a fierce battle to take part that stand out the most. The result of the voting gets revealed right away, changing the team ranking. The second round is held with No Limit as its theme.

7. The Finalists

The second round of Round Three under the theme, No Limit, continues. Each team breaks its limits by choosing unexpected concepts and intense performances. The final rankings are revealed, and only five teams get to advance to the finals. Which team will be eliminated after Round Three? Stay tuned to find out!

8. The Final Round

The five finalists, YOUNITE, The CrewOne, ONEUS, 8TURN, and CRAVITY, present their performances they prepared for the Final Round. They perform with their new songs, which are revealed for the first time. A special performance by the ace vocalists also awaits. The live broadcasting votes are added to the final score, determining the final winner of the show.
