The performance-driven music video becomes the third from ARIRANG to reach the milestone, six months after its release.

BTS has added another 100-million-view music video to the ARIRANG era.

“Hooligan” crossed the milestone on YouTube at approximately 6:40 a.m. KST on October 14, according to BIGHIT MUSIC figures reported by Sports Kyunghyang. The agency marked the achievement with a commemorative image.

The video follows “SWIM” and “2.0” as the third from the group’s fifth studio album to surpass 100 million views.

A Third Milestone for ARIRANG

BTS released ARIRANG on March 20, with the “Hooligan” music video arriving on April 8 through the HYBE LABELS YouTube channel.

The latest total comes just over six months after the video’s release, adding another milestone to an album campaign that has continued through music videos and a world tour.

It also draws attention to a track beyond lead single “SWIM.” With “2.0” and “Hooligan” reaching the same threshold, three separate videos from the album have now accumulated nine-figure viewing totals.

Contrasting Sets and Large-Scale Choreography

The “Hooligan” video builds its visual identity around contrasting environments: a gray, moss-covered space and a vivid red set.

Against those backgrounds, the seven members perform alongside a large group of dancers. The ensemble choreography gives the video much of its momentum, with the scale of the movement complementing the stark changes in color and setting.

The result places collective performance at the center of the viewing experience, giving the track a visual identity distinct from the album’s other releases.

From Music Video to Tour Opener

“Hooligan” also opens BTS’s ARIRANG tour, according to Sports Kyunghyang.

The report describes the song as reflecting the group’s journey across the world and the paths they have created along the way. Its place at the beginning of the concert gives that theme a direct role in introducing the live show.

The track made its own chart impact before the video milestone. It debuted at No. 35 on the Billboard Hot 100 dated April 4 and remained on the chart for four weeks.

ARIRANG Continues Its Chart Run

Sports Kyunghyang also reported that ARIRANG ranked No. 43 on the Billboard 200 in the latest chart update announced on October 13.

“SWIM” placed No. 27 on the Billboard Global 200 and No. 8 on the Global Excl. U.S. chart in that update.

Those rankings measure different forms of activity from the “Hooligan” YouTube total. Together, they provide several snapshots of how the album and its songs continue to circulate months after release.

Editor’s Note: The Album Behind the Videos

BIGHIT MUSIC’s official album page identifies ARIRANG as BTS’s fifth studio album and describes its 14 tracks as a portrait of the group as they are today.

The release was accompanied by a comeback performance at Seoul’s Gwanghwamun Square on March 21, announced through the group’s official Weverse channel, before the world tour began in April.

That sequence gives the “Hooligan” milestone useful context. The song has appeared within an album, a dedicated music video and the opening of a touring show, offering audiences several ways to encounter it.

From an editorial perspective, its latest achievement highlights the reach of the wider album campaign. The 100 million figure represents cumulative video views, including repeat plays, rather than 100 million individual viewers.
