2PM member Taecyeon has brought the house down by dropping a hilariously blunt prediction about the marriage prospects of his fellow single bandmates. On the July 6, 2026, broadcast of SBS’s hit late-night variety program But Seriously! (아니 근데 진짜!), the legendary “original beast idols” of 2PM reunited on screen, leading to a highly chaotic and unfiltered conversation about their love lives.

The Married Members vs. The Bachelors

During the talk segment, comedic panelist Lee Su-ji casually asked the group, “Are you guys currently dating anyone right now?” Nichkhun, who is one of the group’s remaining bachelors, kept it completely real by answering, “I honestly really want to.”

The conversation quickly shifted gears when the hosts asked the group to guess who would end up getting married the latest. Taecyeon, who is happily married alongside fellow member Chansung, didn’t hesitate to throw his single teammates under the bus:

“I always say this to them privately, but to be completely honest, I don’t think any of these guys are ever going to get married.”

Currently, out of the six 2PM members, Taecyeon and Chansung are married, leaving Jun. K, Nichkhun, Junho, and Wooyoung as the group’s remaining single bachelors. Hearing Taecyeon’s unexpected attack, an offended Jun. K quickly shot back, “Hey, we will definitely get married at some point down the road!” Taecyeon playfully shut down the defense by casually responding, “Alright, fighting!” causing the entire studio production crew to burst into loud laughter.

Jun. K’s Heartbreaking Phone Call and a Hit Song

Following the marriage debate, Lee Su-ji asked Jun. K a deeply personal question: “Have you ever actually received a phone call from an ex-girlfriend telling you that she was getting married to someone else?” To the surprise of the panel, Jun. K honestly admitted that it had happened to him in real life:

“One day, I suddenly received a phone call from an unknown number. When I answered, it was my ex. She told me, ‘I felt like you were the one person I absolutely needed to tell before anyone else…’ I just calmly told her, ‘Congratulations,’ and hung up the phone.”

He continued, sharing how the shocking moment changed his music: “Just receiving that phone call out of nowhere was a massive shock to my system. I immediately opened up the notes app on my phone and started writing down exactly how I felt in that exact moment. I added a bit of artistic imagination to those raw notes, and that is exactly how I ended up composing my solo track ‘Your Wedding’ (결혼식).” He also warmly thanked his group members and labelmates for helping him finish the project, noting that TWICE’s Nayeon and his fellow 2PM brother Nichkhun famously starred as the main leads in the song’s emotional music video. Showing that they are just as funny, dramatic, and close-knit as they were during their rookie days, 2PM safely proved why their real-life chemistry remains totally unmatched in the industry.
