The duo’s first music-show performance paired playful expressions and dynamic choreography with DREAMSCAPE’s retro-inspired title track.

SEVENTEEN’s Jeonghan and Joshua brought two distinct performance styles together for their first music-show stage of “12 o’clock.”

Appearing on Mnet’s M Countdown on October 22, the pair performed the title track from their debut mini album DREAMSCAPE. Black-and-white outfits representing night and day gave the stage a visual contrast that carried through their movements and expressions.

Two personalities shape one performance

Jeonghan approached the camera with relaxed, playful expressions, while Joshua brought a more forceful energy to the choreography.

Their paired movements connected those different approaches. Fluid body waves, light footwork and a dance break gave both performers room to stand out while keeping their interaction at the center of the stage.

The performance introduced the duo’s music-show promotions with a more mature mood, drawing on the ease they have developed through years of performing with SEVENTEEN.

Retro rhythm meets a dreamlike story

“12 o’clock” is a dance-rock track that reworks elements of 1970s and 1980s disco and funk.

Its rhythmic foundation supports lyrics about pursuing someone through a dream, connecting the title track to DREAMSCAPE’s broader concept.

The album explores two meanings of dreaming: the unconscious fantasies that appear during sleep and the ambitions people pursue while awake. Jeonghan and Joshua’s contrasting stage identities give that meeting of worlds a performance dimension.

‘DREAMSCAPE’ makes a strong sales entrance

According to OSEN’s October 23 report, DREAMSCAPE sold approximately 650,000 copies on its release day and topped Hanteo’s daily album chart.

The report also cited two consecutive days at No. 1 on Oricon’s daily album ranking in Japan and a return to the top of QQ Music’s digital bestselling-album ranking in China.

Those results follow the album’s October 19 release, with the M Countdown appearance bringing its title track to a new stage.

Editor’s Note

DREAMSCAPE includes individual songs alongside the duo’s shared tracks. Joshua’s “Not personal” incorporates alternative rock and pop, while Jeonghan’s “컬러링” draws on electro-house. The official album descriptions present these solo recordings as another way to hear the differences between the two artists within the same dream-centered project.
