Felix will release his digital single “Slow It Down” on September 1 at 6 p.m. KST as the second release in Stray Kids’ ongoing SKZ-PLAYER project.

Felix Takes Over as the Second SKZ-PLAYER Artist

“Slow It Down” is part of SKZ-PLAYER, a project designed to give all eight Stray Kids members an opportunity to share individual creative work with STAY, the group’s fandom.

The members are not simply performing the songs. The project also highlights their involvement behind the scenes, including songwriting and creative participation in music video concepts and production.

Han launched the latest SKZ-PLAYER series in June with “back to life,” with Felix now following as its second member.

Felix Helped Write and Compose ‘Slow It Down’

Felix participated in both the lyrics and composition of “Slow It Down,” giving the song an especially personal connection to the Stray Kids member.

The track is described as acoustic hip-hop, combining a simple guitar loop with a laid-back hip-hop beat.

Its message also takes a noticeably reflective direction.

Rather than racing forward, “Slow It Down” encourages listeners to stop for a moment in a world that constantly seems to be moving faster. The lyrics look back on dreams, meaningful memories and time spent with important people, ultimately offering a sense of comfort.

The theme fits naturally with Felix’s expanding role as a songwriter. His official Stray Kids credits have previously included songwriting and composition work on solo material such as “REV IT UP.”

Roh Yoon Seo Stars in Felix’s ‘Slow It Down’ Music Video

The release also has another major draw: Roh Yoon Seo appears in the music video.

The actress portrays a young person struggling between dreams and the realities of everyday life, while Felix appears as someone who gives her the courage to keep moving toward those dreams.

That storyline brings the song’s message directly into the visuals, turning “Slow It Down” into more than a performance-focused solo release.

Felix Continues to Build His Individual Musical Identity

Although Felix is best known globally as a member of Stray Kids and for one of K-pop’s most instantly recognizable deep voices SKZ PLAYER gives him another opportunity to show what his own music sounds like when he takes a larger creative role.

“Slow It Down” also differs from the explosive sound often associated with Stray Kids, leaning instead toward acoustic textures and a more comforting message.

The project reflects a broader element of Stray Kids’ music: the members have long been closely involved in writing and producing their own material, both individually and as a group.

Stray Kids Head to Rock in Rio Next

Felix’s solo release arrives just before another major international schedule for Stray Kids.

The group is scheduled to perform at Brazil’s Rock in Rio on September 12, continuing its presence on major global festival stages.

Before then, all attention turns to Felix and “Slow It Down,” which arrives across music platforms on September 1 at 6 p.m. KST.

With Felix participating directly in the song’s creation and Roh Yoon Seo leading its music video storyline, the second SKZ-PLAYER release offers fans a more personal glimpse at the artist behind one of Stray Kids’ most recognizable voices.
