The couple will join four fellow acting winners at a November 3 ceremony celebrating last year’s award-winning performances.

Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin are set to celebrate their Blue Dragon Film Awards victories together once more, this time by leaving their handprints.

According to an announcement quoted by Sports Kyunghyang on October 19, the actors will attend a handprinting ceremony on November 3 at 2 p.m. at CGV Yongsan I’Park Mall in Seoul.

Joining them are fellow winners from the 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards: Lee Sung-min, Park Ji-hyun, Ahn Bo-hyun and Kim Do-yeon.

Two leading performances, one shared celebration

Hyun Bin won Best Actor for Harbin, portraying Korean independence activist Ahn Jung-geun. His performance explored the determination and personal burden behind the historical figure’s mission.

The award marked his first Blue Dragon Best Actor victory. He also received a Popular Star Award that evening.

Son Ye-jin won Best Actress for Park Chan-wook’s No Other Choice, playing Mi-ri, a woman navigating the upheaval caused by her husband’s unemployment.

It was her second win in the category, following My Wife Got Married 17 years earlier. Like Hyun Bin, she also took home a Popular Star Award.

Their joint appearance at the handprinting event will bring the couple back together in celebration of achievements earned through separate films.

Supporting actors and newcomers join the lineup

Lee Sung-min will attend following his Best Supporting Actor win for No Other Choice. He played Koo Beom-mo, a veteran paper-industry worker struggling to find employment.

Park Ji-hyun, who won Best Supporting Actress for Hidden Face, will also leave her handprints. Her role as cellist Mi-ju placed her at the center of the thriller’s tangled desires and secrets.

The lineup includes two actors recognized in the newcomer categories. Ahn Bo-hyun won Best New Actor for Pretty Crazy, while Kim Do-yeon received Best New Actress for Ameba Girls and School Ghost Stories: School Anniversary.

A tradition before the next awards ceremony

The handprinting event is a longstanding Blue Dragon tradition that commemorates the previous year’s acting winners ahead of the next awards ceremony.

The 47th Blue Dragon Film Awards are scheduled for November 25 at KBS Hall in Yeouido, Seoul, according to the report.

Editor’s Note

The 46th Blue Dragon Film Awards took place on November 19, 2025. No Other Choice led the ceremony with six awards, including Best Film, Best Director for Park Chan-wook, Best Actress for Son Ye-jin and Best Supporting Actor for Lee Sung-min. Hyun Bin’s Best Actor win for Harbin meant the married actors both received leading acting awards on the same night.
